Thanks Sean. I have started updating the wiki. I have updated the main page to start the main topics. The plan is to get the pages started so those areas can be edited as the wiki develops.
-
Great! Steve giron is also updating the wiki. Maybe you can ping him?
-
Edmon I'm Steve Giron, I saw your nice edits. PM me and we'll exchange info on how to get this to the next level.
Thanks,
Steve

We need to get a link setup in the menu line that starts with home and ends with logout.
-
Steve, I sent you a PM. I have started by getting all of Sean's link into the wiki. I believe Sean needs to setup permissions and levels so we can make more advanced edits. But for now I am continuing to add the links and massage the layout until we can upload pictures and graphics for some of the how-to's I have planned.
Tom Langley has already reached to me to include the Papagayu and Glediator tutorials and instructions.

The Wiki software has been reinstalled.
The Wiki tab between "Home" and "Help" below your avatar will take you to the new Wiki pages.
If you'd like go there directly, the URL is http://www.nutcracker123.com/wiki/index.php?title=XLights/Nutcracker_Wiki_Home_Page (http://www.nutcracker123.com/wiki/index.php?title=XLights/Nutcracker_Wiki_Home_Page)

I have started populating the wiki with information. To get a feel for the format, look at Interface. I am almost completed with the Interface section (will need to add 4.0 updates) and then I will be starting the Setup page.

that is looking very nice!!

Thanks! It has been fun writing this manual. I am basically going through every part of the program and writing the how-to. I have been only using the XLNC program for about 3 years and I only use a small portion of it. So to get a good perspective on how the tool works, I try to figure it out on my own first. That way if I have a question on how something is used, someone else will more than likely as well.
I have been trying to keep track of everyone's questions, so I can add these to the tips and tricks and to the FAQ sections.
I am looking forward to the Effects section as I plan to document each effect using the pre-defined model configurations for each effect (mega trees, arches, Matrix, star, etc)
Again,
If anyone want to write it up, I can get it into the wiki. i have already received some great stuff from others. Thank to all who are sending me stuff to add.
Let me know if you see other areas/section to add.

Is the Wiki down? Tried accessing several ways and just get a "Sorry! This site is experiencing technical difficulties." page.
-
Yes. I need to request a restore. Somehow some spam programs got into the wiki and put 15 gutted if stuff in. Host monster deactivated nutcracker123.com for exceeding the 3gb limit per database. Should be back by this weekend

What is the status of the wiki. The link still does not work.
-
It's in the works. Once we've got it locked down, I'll redo the link.
-
The Nutcracker Wiki is online again. This fresh install is locked down and not editable by anonymous or registered users. New user registrations are not open.
Eddie Kempf is authoring most of the content.
PM me if you would like an account to contribute to editing the Wiki pages.
