opengl 1.x,2.x no longer supported where do i get update drivers I used to be able to run xlights on my acer laptop and no longer can

Basically though, update your video driver from the acer website to latest available and try again.

Looks like the highest version of opengl my graphics card supports is opengl2.x whats the highest version of xlights  that will still work with that or do i have other options like DirectX?

Release date: September 7, 2004

Get a new laptop and thank me later.  That version of OpenGL is 20 years old now.  I was at a mini using someone else's laptop and was like OMG you guys have no idea how bad this is performing.  No wonder people complain about the experience with the software.
