Title: Upload show from XLights to Pi Player Universe change
Post by: BrockmanDancingLights on November 13, 2024, 10:19:23 AM
Hello,

I am new to XLights and have a question. This may be a rookie mistake, but I sequence my show and then upload to the falcon and the universes change on all my controllers and I have to manually change them back every time. Is there something I am missing or doing wrong?

TIA

xLights will auto configure your controllers for you by default.  It is a really cool feature that you should consider, but if you want to manually configure your controllers, you can disable this feature.  From the "controllers" tab select your controller and disable xLights control.

I knew it had to be something simple I was overlooking.

Thank you for your response!

As a rookie, I'd strongly suggest you use the xLights controller functions unless you have a very particular need that it just doesn't work for you.

The main advantage is that you don't really have to configure specific universes and channels because xLights is a smart universe/channel bot. The main enablement of xLights smarts is the visualizer button that allows you to put your props on your controller. xLights will figure out all the universes/channels and when you upload your config, it will be correct for how the visualizer was set up. Try it out. I think you will like it.
