New to X-Lights and have set up Mega Tree but want to add strobes to it. How? Also need to know how to preset effects. Have tired but didn't work. Thanks.

How do the stoves fire? I think you would make a second lodel for strobes, maybe single color white. Set effect 1 as strobe, effect 2 as on. Set vale of effect 2 to keep strobe warm ( this are Xeon strobes). Now use effect1 reveals 2. Your strobes will be kept with some value 50,100? Now you get strobe that puts a 255 out randomly

Thanks Sean. That worked just like it should. My husband was so impressed with my first sequence that he had tears in his eyes at the beauty he saw. Now that we know I can produce a show, we now have to get the hardware.

Hi Sean,
I am another newbie, but new to everything. I've been learning a lot playing with the tools and reading on the forum. Strobes are an interesting feature to me. Is Carol adding additional strobe lights or using pixels to flash white?

We are going to add strobes up the center pole of our Mega Tree facing in different directions for added effect of sparkles or big bang style effect. We have seen these on some videos on youtube and they really look great. We are going to use 2811 strobes and should be able to change the colors if we want too.

Carol--2811 strobes?? Could you provide a URL to them?? I am interested in an RGB strobe!!!!
THanks.

Thanks very much. Info appreciated!!

I was really satisfied with using the Twinkle effect and using the Sparkle slider to overlay strobing on top of other effects. I've always wanted strobes but using these effects across your existing smart pixels looks good enough to me I don't think I'm going to bother with the trouble of having dedicated strobe strings. You can see the twinkle effect at the start of this video. In person it was a pretty cool strobe look:

I agree that looks really good Gil. Nicely done!

What type of LED were you using on the house for the strobe effect Gil?

On the house was the rectangular 5V WS2811 nodes. I had them leftover from the pixel tree on the left. The tree on the right uses 12V WS2811 ribbons and the arches are the LOR CCR's I originally bought.
