I have the 6 star version with on in the middle, but older versions of xLights had a similar issue.

Nutcracker Effects / Modeling Peace Stakes as Strobes

I have a string of Peace Stakes with 6 pixels per stake.  I am trying to model the stakes for each group of 6 pixels to fire all at once with the strobe effect, with each group of 6 firing randomly.

Suggestions?

I've had a couple of "behind the scenes" gatherings at my house right before I begin tear-down after Christmas.  Had maybe a half-dozen folks come by and express interest in the hobby, but most eyes glaze over once I hand them a network diagram and resource list to check things out.  No one's ever offered to pay me to do a show (nor would I accept, unless it was that millionaire).

I am building a 10 foot mega-tree for a friend.  16 strand 180 using a F16V4.  Dependent on the release of the stand-alone functionality.   Could eventually offer other basic props to go along with it in the future.

Yes, those are real basic sequences.

I built my own flag, originally in plywood with C7 incan bulbs, and most recently with a large pixel matrix.

I purchased a few LOR sequences from wowlights.com probably 10 years ago and the sequences have other elements than just the flag included.  I have since converted to xLights and modified the original sequences.

Although it limits flexibility, I dim at the controller level (Falcon) .  Easier for me to "balance" my display instead of tinkering with the sequences.

I live in an urban neighborhood with fairly high density, so primarily I do it to keep the neighbors at bay, and since most viewers are only 30-50 feet away, it's much easier on the eyes.
