Hey Gil, your help is greatly appreciated, especialy with the very noobie question I had.  I lurk a lot and try and read as much as I can but your help is very much appreciated!  I would bet money there are other lurkers out there that feel the same.  Hopefully it wasn't me that accidently smited, I appreciated your help with my question and clicked the 'like' button.

Thank you very much guys, I'll give that a shot.  I'm using an ESP PixelStick from Shelby to run the matrix and it doesn't have the zig zag option.  I typically use san device controllers and would normally do that but this one doesn't allow me to do zig zag.

I'm sorry for this question, but I'm stumped.  I've created these models before and they've worked perfectly, but for some reason this one isn't working when outputting to the lights. 

I have a modular matrix panel, 4 columns with 42 nodes in each.  There is one continuous string starting from the bottom left going up and down 4 times. 

I'm setting up the model as:
#strings: 4
nodes/strings: 42
strands/string: 1

It looks perfect inside XLights but when I upload the sequence to FPP it's displaying correct on the first column, then the second column is upside down, third column is correct and fourth column is upside down.

I feel like I'm overlooking something similar and making a silly mistake.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm having this same problem.  I started with a fresh version 4 install and created all new sequences.  It happens sometimes, then other times it doesn't.  Randomly will show only certain model previews until I click on the effect, so for some parts I have to click on every single effect for it to show up when I try to preview what I'm doing. 

Seems to happen a lot to color wash, the effect icon on the grid will be smooth, or only partially colored in.  Then it doesn't play back, but when I click on it, the effect icon will be 'blocks' of color fade through the timing mark, then it plays back.  This is one example of what happens. 

update:
Haha, so I'm toggling between windows typing this message and the preview that didn't work now works.  XL was minimized, then I brought the screen back up and it seemed to work ok.  Wierd.  Still love XL's and all the hard work you guys are putting into this, it's been a great tool for sequencing my lights.

LOR / Re: Do I have to run my LOR boxes in DMX to run it in Nutcracker?

I had issues since most of lor originally were 10ms.   Xlights used 50ms.  I converted them to 50 before converting.

I'm a bit confused about this as well and has me a bit panicked.  For example, if I used LOR's 'beat wizard' to detect and set the timings will this not work with xlights conversion?  I also have a few sequences with different timing settings; one for beat wizards timings, and one with 'Fixed grid: 0.05'.

Also, regarding converting to 50ms, how is this done?  I haven't looked into it yet, just mentally planning my conversions of LOR sequences and adding Nutcracker RGB effects into them has my head swimming.

I unfortunately missed this tutorial last night.  Does this work the same for horizontally scrolling text? I'm really new to NC and was trying to figure out multiple lines of text with different colors scrolling horizontal.
