Are you sure red and green work? It would be odd that only the blue would be off.

Latest xLights/Nutcracker software / Re: Check Sequence not opening up

Start with upgrading to latest version.

How about a broom clamp?

Do You Need Help? Post it here / Re: Configuration PC

I run on an older I5 with 8GB. Not ideal but works fine. There was thread recently that said they needed a massive computer with tons of memory - but they had millions of channels to render.

The forum is acting funky...not taking my reply saying I already replied. But I don't see it. So apologize if it turns out to be multiple replies.

Tell us about your light (does it have a manual?), tell us how your configured it, how you cabled it and how you set up the controller in xLights.

General Software / Re: updates
« on: January 07, 2025, 08:18:50 PM »
You can always move to the latest version. If there are config or sequence changes both will update when you open them.
PS always a good idea to backup both before a major upgrade.

Bugs in xLights/Nutcracker / Re: xschedule64 is missing
« on: January 02, 2025, 08:38:50 PM »
You won't lose your programming by reinstalling unless you modded the software. But you can easily backup your work. Find your show directory and copy it someplace else.

This is where your xSchedule64 shortcut should point to:
"C:\Program Files\xLights\xSchedule.exe"

Do You Need Help? Post it here / Re: Sequence for in between "shows"
« on: December 13, 2024, 09:23:36 PM »
Yep. It is okay if one song is 2 minutes and another is 4 minutes. The "quiet" 6 minute static scene in between will be fine. Just keep alternating until you run out of songs. Then repeat.

The Water Cooler / Re: Upgrading to a new computer
« on: December 13, 2024, 09:19:27 PM »
I am just starting to look and my specs will be medium CPU, midrange GPU, lots of memory (probably 32GB), nice TB SSD. Probably about $1500. Add in a couple new monitors including a nice gaming monitor.

This will cover my use for electronics, lights, gaming, surfing and light office work. If I didn't have gaming, I would probably downgrade the GPU and go with cheap monitors. Could probably get away with 16 GB memory. I "only" have 500GB drive now and it is fine. Stopped by the electronics department at Walmart just today and they had a decent CyberPower PC for around $800. Usually can find something better than Walmart (at least I did last I bought one) but it is a nice PC for that money.

I think you are going to have to explain further. However, since it is now 12/12, you should go to the zoom room and raise your hand and they will get you squared away.

It is all one show. Schedule a sequence as needed "in between".

Why not run continuously? People don't drive by to see a show they drive by to see your lights so it could be anytime.

How are you running the video?
How is the LOR connected?

ZCPP should be okay. It is not commonly used.

But what is the problem you are seeing?
How are your player and controllers configured and wired?

Xlights Setup / Re: Xlights scheduler

I think you might find the current speaker in the windows settings/sound.

Are you saying you wired your tree horizontally and it is one continuous string? How are you going to use three ports on a continuous string?

It would not make sense via the tree model to have equal lengths of lights running horizontal. I am far from an xLights guru but it sounds like you built a custom tree. Maybe a picture of the tree with each strand noted?
