LOR / Re: LOR DC Controller LOR Optimised Protocol?
« on: September 17, 2020, 03:13:16 PM »
Wow.  I am an IDIOT.  Hopefully this will help others.

I created 3 LOR controllers vs creating 1 and selecting 3 devices.  For this reason my first one worked but had I tested AC Controller 02 it would not have.  For the DC Controller I selected Device Type AC Controller

Everything it working now.  I am ready!

I would prefer to use LOR since its mounted next to two existing LOR controllers and daisy chaining one more is easy.  I don't have any DMX in my show just E1.31.  My AC controllers work just fine but my CMB16-DC does not.  If I open the LOR Hardware utility it works so I know the device is functional.

That is great news...started down a rabbit hole expecting the worst.

From a controller perspective which device type should I be selecting?

LOR / LOR DC Controller LOR Optimised Protocol?
« on: September 17, 2020, 12:38:38 PM »
Hello,
I am new to xlights coming from LOR.  I have some hardware I would like to bring over and use in xlight 2 AC controllers and 1 DC controller CMB16D.  I am using the same show computer and have my LOR USB dongle so my initial plan was to keep it all using that interface.  I got the 2 AC controllers working but was unsuccessful with the DC.  Now I am pretty sure I know the answer to my question but since DC controllers are not listed in xLights but before I run a new cable and figure out this DMX thing I figured I better ask.  Are LOR DC Controllers supported in xlights using the LOR protocol?

Thanks,
Scott

I need more info on what you mean by Setup Page.  If you are talking about the controller screen I had a single E131 with 3 channels on Universe 2.

I totally get it and happy to continue to test.  Attached is the log

Tried the Effects.  That seems to be doing what I want.  Little bit of work to map but love that I can save an existing mapping.

Seems that some people who converted whole sequences have pending issues and wished they started from scratch.  Based on that I think I will import just faces, strobes, blinders and leave the rest behind.

Thanks for nudging me in the right direction.

Not sure if this is exactly what you are asking but I removed the LOR components completely out of it in my test setup.  I am going with the baby steps approach and tried to import 1 RGB DMX channel. I attached the LMS file.

I went to Tools\Convert.

I have tried with a few LMS files but still same result.

xLights Convert / LOR to XLights - Invalid LOR Unit id
« on: September 02, 2020, 03:09:51 PM »
I have watched countless videos and been reading and googling and....I am stumped!

I have recreated my whole setup in xlights just like various videos show and I keep getting an error for every channel during the import process
"Warning: Invalid LOR unit id: 0, must be within 1-240"

I have since tried simplifying the whole thing and brought it down to one string of RGB lights finally to a single node and I still can't escape this error.  Any ideas?

Track 1 length = 15988 centiseconds
DMX Network 1:  0 channels
DMX Network 2:  3 channels
Total channels = 3

In xlights I have a single E131 universe 2 with 3 channels

Enhancement Requests / Single Strand Top\Bottom
« on: October 06, 2015, 03:01:20 PM »
For the RGB strips that line my house I love what can be done with the "Single Strand" function but I wish it had the ability for Up\Down, Down\Up type effects.  Currently it focus on all left\right effects.
