Are you telling me you can't figure out where your channels numbers have gone wrong in the first 7 models?  If you think somethings wrong in the program you're gonna have to show proof not just a vague description.

Wow Gil!  I read his post and didn't think he was pointing his finger at the program at all.  In fact, he was humbly acknowledging that it very well could be user error; he just needs some guidance.

Create a new category titled "Emotional Distress" (you could call it E.D. for short and it would probably still be applicable to you - cue the Viagra commercial).  Be the first to post a topic about your anger / little man syndrome and the community will help guide you through these difficult times.

Really, just lighten up man.  Your responses are way too aggressive sometimes.  You have to acknowledge that people get confused and we put a tremendous amount of pressure on ourselves to make a good quality show.  Thousands of dollars invested and a ticking clock to get the show running.  People are just looking for help.

Bass,

I just noticed that I had one controller's addressing mode set to absolute and the other set to universe.  I changed the one for absolute to universe, however that did not fix the issue.

Trying to sort out issues with the channels and effects not matching up properly.  I have no idea where I am going wrong.  Pics of setup are below.  I have two F16v2 controllers and one E682.

Here is an excel spreadsheet detailing my layout https://www.dropbox.com/s/gm4h2v0zaxwc44b/Layout.xlsx?dl=0

Don't know the answer about data layers because I don't know what you're referring to.  My sequence was built from scratch in Flights.  Nothing was imported.

How are you running the test?

When I test I am doing this on the test tab in Xlights and the colors show up correct.

When I play the sequence I am doing this from the sequence tab and the colors are incorrect.

When I test lights in and select red, blue, or green all colors work correctly. When I run a sequence the colors are incorrect.  Any thoughts?

I have two F16V2 controllers and one expansion board.  The majority of my pixels are GECE's however, I do have around 1000 2811's.

For the GECE's the Falcon F16v2 interface sets the pixel count at 65 for each port.  Would it be easier to setup xlights as 1 universe per port for the GECE's? Should i check the "One Output" box if I do this?

It seems that it would make it cleaner to do this.

Like this is a way to make a morph zig zag across a line.  You could layer a bunch of them if you wanted several to follow each other.  I gotta see what you want to create it.

Gil,

In the GIF, is the effect that is below the three morphs just an off effect? Also, can you tell me what your morph settings were? I'm having a hard time matching the effect you made.

This is what I was looking for Gil.  In the GIF, is the effect that is below the three morphs just an off effect?

I really can't tell what you guys want it to do.

if I have a single strand of 100 pixels I would be asking for the following:

a chase begins at node 1 and moves out to node 75 (now nodes 1 through 75 are lit) - the chase then reverses or backtracks to node 50 (nodes 1 through 50 are lit) - the chase then moves forward again to node 100 (nodes 1 through 100 are now lit)

Phrog - you had a post earlier with some screen shots on how to implement a hold.  Can you share a sequence of screen shots on how to stop at point y go back to point x and then go to point z?

I'm trying to figure out a way to start a chase then have the chase reverse and then reverse again.  So, let's say that I have a house line with 200 nodes.  The chase begins and moves forward 150 nodes then drops back to the 100th node and then moves forward to the 200th node.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm guilty of the same thing.  I appreciate all of the work that you guys put into xlights as much as I can.  I say as much as I can because it's not possible for me to comprehend all that you do for us as a community.

With that being said, please understand that people don't intend to offend and they're definitely not taking your workmanship for granted.  I think we all are just excited and eager to use this wonderful software.  I too have been using since version 3 and mainly hang out over on the DIYC site.
