I found that RGB values of 255 127 27 for "white" on my house outline match my incandescent icicle and snowflake lights fairly well.

Back to the original question, I am working on transitioning from LOR to xlights and I REALLY want to find out how to get the look of red white red white or other alternating colors that are static.  It seems there would need to be a way to address the lights other than via the grid / pattern overlay on the whole house model. I made my entire house outline our of straight line segments so can I apply an effect to each model element individually.  But what I can't seem to do is get the single strand effects to be static, any other ideas?
