The Water Cooler / Re: when does eveyone shut down their show
« on: December 29, 2020, 02:02:04 PM »
Merry Christmas Everyone!   It has been a long time since I have posted anything, but felt moved to do so today.  I have been isolated from my family since the 23rd because I started showing symptoms of Covid (I was able to get in on the 26th and diagnosis confirmed).  Fortunately, I have what I would consider to a case on the mild end (no hospitalization needed at this point).  As I now lay here in bed, isolated from my family for a couple of more days, I was reading through my Twitter account, I saw a post about keeping the Lights up for hero?s until Jan 31.

I have always had a great appreciation for what our medical professionals do on a daily basis, and now even more so.  I am even more keenly aware of this fact after talking with the medical assistant who worked with me when I went in to be tested (I was definitely showing symptoms and he still got right in there and did what had to be done).   This medical assistant was a nurse at one of our local hospitals when he got covid back in April.  He struggled with it for 2 months before he could return to work.

Therefore, I thought I would pass this post along to this forum. So that we can all show our appreciation for all the  medical frontline personnel who give of themselves day in and day out!  If there any on this forum - my hat is off to you!!!

General Software / Re: xScheduler
« on: September 02, 2020, 05:03:32 AM »
I prefer using xschedule (be it on a windows machine).  The way my show is set up, I am a heavy user of the priorities feature of xschedule.  The last time I took a look at FPP, I did not see the option for priorities.  I have not had time to take a look at more recent versions.  Thanks for all the hard work on keeping xschedule stable!

Sounds good Keith.   I have updated to .39 and still no luck.

did a video on my laptop (not show computer), but one that I use for testing, and sequencing.  Behavior is the same.  See Video Attached.  I First attempt to run "Final" Playlist, once this does not work, I hit the "stop all" button and works as expected.

Thanks.

I will look at some more when I get home. So weird works fine in .27, but does not in .28 and on on my pc.

I have been testing by selecting the "T6 - Final" Playlist and clicking the "Play selected" button.  I have attached the "xlights.xschedule" file.

Forgot to mention, I have also downloaded 2019.38 and the same result happens.

Looks like 2019.27 is the last version that it worked in.

Evening everyone!  It is that time of the year again.   I have a very simple show - only 24 channels of AC lights.   I usually take a break from things for the first half of the year, then about July/August download the latest version of xlights and start testing.

I downloaded 2019.33 and I noticed that when attempting a “stop all” command from a play list in the scheduler, it does not stop any of the lower priority play lists.   Once the playlist with the stop all command runs and finishes with the stop all command, the lower priority playlist picks up where it left off.

Last year I had a similar issue, however last year it was causing a crash.   This year it just picks up where the previous playlist left off.

The “stop all” button at the bottom of the screen does work as expected.

Xlights Setup / Re: Xlights Scheduler
« on: December 07, 2018, 09:24:36 AM »
I have multiple playlists going with different priorities.

Playlist 1 is a “filler” -a quick 10 second sequence with all lights on, scheduled for 15:59 to 21:00, priority of 2.
Playlist 2 is the show (about 15 minutes long) - starts at 18:00, 19:00, & 20:00, runs with a priority of 5.

So at 18:00, playlist 2 takes over, once done, playlist 1 resumes.
