Saw you guys fixed this in .14

Thanks, gents!!!!

As a side note... I'm not sure how many of you all have put your lights back out during these times... but my neighbors and surrounding neighbors have REALLY enjoyed it. Lines of cars every night!

I don't recall this being a problem back at xmas time with a 2019 version?

When I have shows active, I set my pc to never sleep, but still turn the monitors off after 5 minutes of inactivity. With Scheduler running, they never shut off. Is that expected?

Thanks,
-M

Xlights Setup / Re: HELP!
« on: April 04, 2020, 10:04:40 AM »
To be CRYSTAL clear... I was not complaining about the fact that the rollback didn't work. And yes, I was "paying attention." But, thanks for the oh-so helpful message, @jnealand. What i was complaining about is that I had a perfectly working setup at Christmas, upgraded (following all instructions), and it hosed my entire layout / settings.

To the rest of you... Thanks for trying to help. I was spending far more time trying to identify what happened than it would've taken to just re-do the entire setup. So, that's what I did.

For anyone else who has this happen... the GOOD news is that it takes 1/2 the time to set everything up compared to what it used to. Or, at least that was my experience.

Only issue that remains is that xSchedule is preventing my monitors from turning off in 2020.12 (i'm just talking about monitor power, not "sleep"). That didn't happen in my prior version either. Is that being addressed?

Thanks all!

This is now the error message when trying to roll back. Why would u guys put out an update that breaks EVERYTHING without warning people about it during install? The only message i got was to make sure i saved both the controller setup and the layout page (which i did).

Xlights Setup / HELP!
« on: March 27, 2020, 05:01:07 PM »
SHow was working perfectly at Xmas time... We just put all the lights back up today with a few "pick me up" songs for the craziness going on right now. I had upgraded to the new 2020 version when programming the new songs. Everything seemed ok w the setup when programming / preview / etc. But, for the life of me... i can't get anything to work live. Been trying all day, and I don't even fully understand what exactly has been changed w the controllers tab, other than it's now all in one giant list?

SOOOOOO Frustrating!

Anyone have ideas on where to start?

Enhancement Requests / Re: xSchedule Preview

I second this! :-)

I'm actually sitting here trying to figure out how to both preview my entire show, but also how to add additional seconds between sequences if needed? Is there no way to do either within xSchedule?

THANKS!!! ;D

Any updates on this?

Sorry for the delay... But, here you go.

Not sure if I did this right, or what other files you need, but let me know.

Hello all,

Hoping someone can help me get this issue resolved. I am SOOOO close to being done w my show, but there is still one little thing bugging me that I cant seem to resolve.

I have 3 vertical columns with small (21 tall by 3 wide) matrixes on each. When I try to apply the single strand effect to each strand, it results in the last pixel of each strand being turned off? Every other effect seems to work fine on these models?

When i expand my effect to show all the individual nodes to try to see what is going on, the last pixel is just black. Because of the zig-zag wiring, this results in the colors not aligning like i want either. See attached.

Anything to point me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

AND, I fixed my own issue with the help of the "check sequence" feature!

Should've done that first! :-)

For anyone looking for a solution to a similar problem though... For me, I had inadvertently turned on Canvas Mode during a pinwheel effect. And, to make matters worse, i then copied that effect 2 more times in the show. The message in the check sequence file is:

WARN: Canvas mode enabled on an effect it is not normally used on. This will slow down rendering. Effect: Pinwheel, Model: Tree, Start 2:38.150
ERR: Effect contains very old value curve. Click on this effect and then save the sequence to convert it. Effect: Ripple, Model: Tree, Start 3:21.100

Program is definitely smarter than me! LOL You guys do a great job!!!!!

Sorry, I should have mentioned... I am on 2018.29

Dug this up from a long time ago... But, I seem to be having a very similiar problem. Sequence I am working on all the sudden takes 120-145 seconds to render every time? Can you guys tell me what I need to upload to have it checked? I know the xml file, but what else do u need?

Thanks!
