Do You Need Help? Post it here / XScheduler issue on Mac
« on: November 21, 2020, 03:08:29 PM »
Greetings!

I've got a Macbook Pro running xLights and scheduler, its directly connected to falcon board V3.

I've no problem testing sequence in xLights. I can not seem to get xscheduler to pass data to the flacon however. Strangely, the bottom of the scheduler interface shows IP 0.0.0.0, and when I run the diagnostic within scheduler, it says its trying to broadcast to 0.0.0.0 which obviously wont reach the falcon.

My mac is on IP 192.168.15.100 and falcon is on 192.168.15.105, both on sub 255.255.255.0.

For the life of me I can't figure this out. Frustratingly, this setup worked wonderfully last year. Greatly appreciate any suggestions as my show is dead in the water. :-(

The Water Cooler / Holiday 2019 Prep - Matrix Testing Station
« on: May 31, 2019, 01:56:05 PM »
Excited to finally get this done and wanted to share. More effort in clearing the space than setting it up.  :) But a simple build to let me test my matrixes out in air conditioned comfort. Got the first two of my nine 4X50 node matrixes that will be going into my 2019 Christmasgasm (tm) show!

Hows everyone else coming on their 2019 display? Tick tock! :)

Poppie, brightness adjustments made a huge difference. Was able to make subtle shade difference. Nice! Thanks for the tip!

Just curious to learn if there is some method to finding colors you all might employ (x lights and falcon controller)?

I’d like to use different colors / shades for different song sequences and even parts of songs, but colors from color picker on monitor rarely translate well to my LEDs.

I’m not sure if it’s just a limitation of RGB LEDs, or if it’s perhaps a type / quality of the LEDs I use, or if there is some method of choosing colors that I’m just not stumbling into... Or perhaps it’s just me? :)

Appreciate sharing if any insights.
