Do You Need Help? Post it here / Updating effect

So when I change my effect configuration it doesn't seem to update live so I click the update button above and it still doesn't seem like it updates.  THe only way I can get it to update is to save the sequence but that takes almost a minute when you have videos in the sequence.

The effect in question is shockwave and I'm trying to shift the position.  Even the ripple effect when I change the thickness nothing changes unless I save the sequence.  Is this normal?  Thanks!

Hey guys,

I've spent some time setting up my setup and layout on Xlights.  Its quite different than Vixen.   Here are my questions:

1. If I make a change in my setup or layout do all my sequences adjust?
2. Are sequence views specific for each sequence?  I want to have a universal view for all new sequences since the master view is too complex to sequence with
3. I can't seem to figure out how to shift an set of effects across multiple elements (I guess xlights calls them models).  Vixen is very easy to drag, move, copy, overlap, adjust.
