Do You Need Help? Post it here / Re: xLights/FPP connection

I figured it out - in order for test mode from xlights to work, FPP had to be in bridge mode rather than standalone mode.  I thought I'd add this in case anyone else ever has this problem.

Do You Need Help? Post it here / xLights/FPP connection
« on: October 07, 2019, 10:05:34 PM »
I have my coro pumpkin with 263 pixel nodes.  It is attached to a pi-hat on a Raspberry pi running FPP.  From the FPP test screen, I can cause the lights to turn on.  FPP output page attached.
Then I go to xlights and in the setup->discover, I run it and find the channels shown in the next clip.

I then go to the xLights test tool and try doing a chase on the lights, and nothing happens.

I am clearly missing some sort of intermediate mapping step.  Can anyone help?

Thank you!

Nutcracker Models / Re: Looking For Custom Model

That model was a good starting point - I just had to re-number the pixels to account for the order in which I wired my pumpkin, and then update the face definitions to match.  Now on to sequencing these LEDs.

There is a model for this on the google drive.
It's called Holiday Coro RGB Pumpkin.xmodel

You can used the attached node ranges for setting up the singing face
I will import this tonight, but it appears to be what I am looking for.  I might need to renumber things a bit based on the order that I wired them (although I generally followed the order printed on the coro).  I trieid creating a custom model last night, but realized at the end that I wasn't numbering the pixels correctly - I had numbered them as if I was using dumb instead of smart pixels.

Thank you for your help.

I am in exactly the same plae - I have my Holiday Coro pumpkin built up with smart pixels, all wire up, and I'm about to start programming it.  If you would be willing to share your xmodel, I would really appreciate it.
