Okay scratch my original post.  I didn't have ip forwarding enabled in FPP. All works fine now.
Thanks

Is there no longer a need to set-up Universes, String Ports and Serial Outputs in the Falcon Controller interface when running from FPP 7.1  It seems the FPP does all this for you or am I wrong? I only have roof line model up for halloween so I can't tell for certain.

Thanks,
Larry

Got 7.1 installed and it fixed my connect issue.
Thanks Daniel

I will do that but with it working on one machine and not the other I wonder what the difference is.
I guess I need to ask how to update FPP The upgrade button just kept my version the same.
Is re-imaging the best way?

Do You Need Help? Post it here / FPP Connect can"t find Pi Player (FPP)
« on: October 03, 2023, 09:30:50 PM »
When launching Xlights' FPP-Connect from my Win11 PC, my Pi Player does not show up on the upload page. I can access the FPP on the network via the FPP webpage.  Another pc does connect via the Xlights FPP-Connect but it has issues and is not my workhorse pc. So it seems to be something with my pc or software setting. I also tried re-installing Xlights. I have the 2023.25 version installed. FPP version:  4.6.1  Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks, Larry

I guess  switches are possible with an Adurino and a network board using web api. I watched a video but involves the boards I mentioned along with installing code and software, a bit more of a pain. Requires a lot more facetime with a pc which I like to reserve for sequencing.  If anyone knows of an easier way please chime in.

thanks

My switches are connected to the LOR AC controller which I would eventually like to get rid of.  I

I have seen where people have used the switch but it seems it might be connected to a pi

I have been searching for answers to the following questions but coming up a little short.  Hardware I want to switch over are 2 falcon controllers, and for at least one more year, 2 rgb dumb controllers running from a usb entec open, and  two lor ac controllers,  Question 1 is how to convert .loredit files created in S5 to xlights and question 2 is can I have input triggers with the hardware I currently have?

The specifics of the input trigger is to have a musical sequence play continously or on a loop until a trigger or one of 3 triggers is activated via switches by the road and that in turn would play a different musical sequence associated with that switch then return to the loop sequnce at the completetion of the switched sequence. I currently run this trigger setup with the equipment I have.

Was hoping this could be done without a pi/Fpp for the time being.

People seem to enjoy pushing the button. In fact one year I tried to remove the button and just use motion and it worked flawlessly except some people still got out of their car looking for the switch. I even had instuctions on air and on a sign about the motion, to simply drive by the mailbox to activate show.  It was kind of fun to watch them look for the button.

Thanks, Larry
