Thank you for your response. I am new at this so not sure if I am missing something in your explanation.

Normally I click New Sequence, locate the music for the sequence, once it has opened I click on Import Effects, select the free sequence I have saved, then the mapping window opens. I then map as close of models as I can then click save mapping. Then save the sequence in my own show folder.

What I believe you are saying is to just open the sequence I saved in my own show folder, select Import Effects, and map any other props. If so the problem is that the effects shown are the ones already assigned in my show (I attached a screenshot).

The Water Cooler / Mapping Question
« on: December 07, 2021, 04:14:41 PM »
I created a sequence using one of the free sequences and created multiple mapping files while I was trying to see which I liked best and now I cannot recall which one I used for the sequence I actually uploaded. I have a tree I want to add now, is there a way to find out which mapping file I ended up using?

The Water Cooler / Joining two sequences
« on: December 03, 2021, 02:35:36 PM »
Hello,

Are you able to merge two sequences into one? I have the beginning of one sequence that I want to add to another sequence, making it the beginning, merging them to be one. Is there a way I can do that?

Thanks,

Anna

The Water Cooler / Newbie Question about setting up regular lights
« on: November 28, 2021, 12:41:29 AM »
Hello,

I have a few props that are traditional lights, ie. a snowman, some Walmart metal frame and fabric animal decorations, and 3 floodlights. Is it possible to add these to my controller and Xlights just to have them turn on and off at different intervals of a light show?

Thanks,

Anna

Do You Need Help? Post it here / Checking Sequence Question
« on: November 19, 2021, 06:19:21 PM »
I am very new to Xlights and all things pixel light related. I have been following some tutorials and ran a Check Sequence based on one tutorial and there were no errors however this one message got me nervous....

IP Address we are outputting data from: 192.168.0.129
If your PC has multiple network connections (such as wired and wireless) this should be the IP Address of the adapter your controllers are connected to. If it isn't your controllers may not receive output data.
If you are experiencing this problem you may need to set the local IP address to use.

IP Addresses on this machine:
    192.168.0.129

Working in a backup directory
    No problems found

Potentially problematic settings
    No problems found

Inactive Controllers
    No problems found

Multiple outputs sending to same destination
    No problems found

Controller Checks
Applying controller rules for kulp 32a:192.168.0.107:My First Show
    No problems found

My question is this. The first IP address at the top is my laptop that I am running Xlights on and the Beaglebone Black with K32 controller IP is different as you see right above. Is configuration correct or should both my controller and output data IP be the same? I don't know how that can be as I would think that would cause a conflict on my network and one or both devices may not work.
