So, I figured it out... I made so many modifications to the configurations and I also wouldn't say it's perfect in the eyes of most of you (considering the RGB colors don't match the physical colors in xLights). HOWEVER! All I care about is the physical settings at this point Yes... my trees are out of order... i get it... yes it's all Red colors in xLights but my trees are the right physical colors... I GET IT! *whispers "I'm insecure"

Maybe I should be asking... if I have dumb lights... again I have 8 single color strands for each tree face. 2 controllers with 16 connections for the lights. Thus 32 strands of lights for 4 tree faces.

I have downloaded the custom model that is prepared in xLights. I have mapped it to the musical sequence that was provided by HolodayCoro.com. It's working great. I have connected my two AlphaPix 16 controllers to my home network switch and have the ability to control it with my PC by accessing their individual IP Addresses.

I simply struggle now with the universes, channels, and setup of the controller. I would like to plug the 32 light strands into the 32 individual connections to the controllers as that makes sense to me (considering HolidayCoro guided me on what to purchase). I should probably plug the lights in to match the order of the lights that are shown in the wiring image (outline is 8, upper mouth 1, etc...). Okay, so I've got that going...

What do you do now that the right physical strands of dumb lights are matching the wiring outline details of your custom models?

How do I ensure that the 2nd controller acts independently of the 1st controller? I'm just struggling with the controller settings ((((((((( I need an expert who understandssssssss

Currently, only 4 connections/strands light up... instead of all 16 on each controller (3 light up on one tree, 1 light on the other tree, 2 trees per controller) and both controllers are behaving the same (I have an ethernet cable from the 'out' port on controller 1 running to the 'in' port on controller 2. I assume no issue here as I'm able to independently turn on and off the controllers.

THANK YOU FOR HELPING! YET, IM STILL CONFUSED... I think I have 'dumb' lights? The output on the physical trees currently light up one mouth strand on one tree... one outline on the 2nd tree... and just flip around between the different strands but never give me a full 2 trees worth... they do turn on and off according to music, but it looks like mr. potato head has his pieces on two different boards

So, I don't expect it to physically have it light up 8 pixels... but maybe that's how I have it programmed :/

Hey Nutcrackers!

I recently purchased the Singing Christmas Trees (4) & 2 AlphaPix 16 controllers from HolidayCoro.

I'm struggling to map the 32 light strands (100 count) that I have plugged into the 32 individual connections (16 per controller). I assume I'm doing something wrong in the xLights Controller or Layout tabs... I need help!

I have 4 faces, these faces have 8 strands that make up their face (2 eyes, outline of tree, 5 different mouths). Therefore, each controller would control 2 trees making up 16 strands. I have each strand of 100 count plugged into the individual connections (none of the lights are 'chained' together; all have their own connection to the controller).

I downloaded the pre-configured sequencing for a song. That works great on the 'Sequencer tab' as the music and automation matches the imported custom singing trees I setup in the 'Layout tab'.

I think I'm just not grasping the concept of the universes, channels, and pixels...

Anyone out there that can help me configure this??
