I'm trying to convert/import a Vixen sequence.  I've tried:
1. Converting the .vix to .fseq
2. Creating a new audio sequence and importing the data from the .vix file during sequence creation.
3. Creating a new sequence and leaving it blank.  Then importing elements from the .vix file

I created the map from the vixen channels to the new xLights models.

When I run the sequence, I'm getting some odd/different results.  Either 1) the house preview doesn't work at all, or 2) the preview works, but some of the models don't "light" up.  The sequence shows data for those model.

One thing I did notice. When creating a new sequence and then importing during the new sequence "wizard", there are 2 elements/models that are missing data.  If I then go to Import Elements from the Vixen file, and use my mapping, then the data shows up.  But those models don't "light" in the preview.

I'm running 2024.17 64-bit.

I do not have any of my lights or controllers up yet so I can't test to see if the sequence is sending the correct data and it's just something odd with the preview, or if there is a legitimate problem with the sequence data.

Do You Need Help? Post it here / Re: Addressing individual pixels

One way is to create a straight line for10 pixels. Then make 2 that are your eyes. Continue.

Make a group that is just the eyes. Put effects on the group or the members of the group.

Having a difficult time trying to figure this out. So, I bought eyes from Boscoyo and want to place them in my bushes. I want to use my 100-pixel strands but only illuminate 2 pixels for each eye. Example would be first 10 unlit, 2 lit etc. I've watched numerous videos, so my head is spinning. Thanks

Do You Need Help? Post it here / xSchedule start issue
« Last post by dgtlpro on October 22, 2024, 08:27:13 PM »
First time post here...hoping someone else has had this issue.
Currently using 64bit 2024.15 version.  The issue I'm having is with xLights Scheduler.
I have a static sequence(playlist) scheduled to run 1700-2200 at priority 2 and show playlists scheduled at 18:00, 18:15, 18:30, and 18:45. They are set as priority 5, 6, 7, 8 (respectively).  The shows are flagged to fire every hour until 2200.

The issue I have is the static sequence will fire correctly at 1700 and works fine, but when the first show is to fire at 1800, it doesn't fire...the 1815, 1830, 1845 shows will also not fire.  I have waited to see if the 1900 show will fire, ad again it's a no go.

If I manually start the 1800 show, the schedule then works for the rest of the night.
I have tried rebuilding the schedule from scratch but get the same result...

Any insight on a fix would be appreciated.

Enhancement Requests / Guitar Effect
« Last post by VBryan on October 22, 2024, 09:43:47 AM »
It would be nice to add a Cello to the list of instruments for this effect also a slider for the Fret Start Location.  If I was to use this effect to mimic a Guitar on one of my Matrices the first fret would not be at the end of the string it would be up on the neck of the guitar.
