If you're hearing a sound that means the effect grid really doesn't have focus and whatever window does have focus isn't processing the keystroke. Its not that copy & paste is a work in progress it's the whole program. There are some focus issues going on especially when the program is run in windows that are a pain to figure out how to make it work well for everyone. We have cases where we code something and it works great on my machine but not someone else's.
