Using my new effects
« on: April 25, 2015, 09:33:26 PM »
I'm working on this song for a matrix that will hang on an archway for a high school grad night party.  I threw this together today in a couple hours.  Midday I decided to add a new effect called Shockwave which is another one coming from SuperStar.  It's basically kinda simple.  Just an expanding or contracting circle with ability to define start and end radius and width as well as position and acceleration.  I used it a few times in this video clip.  If you use it stand alone the edges will blend nicely to black.  You can see the dark edges when I used them here because they are overlapping other effects.

We all had to start somewhere Gil, you'll get the hang of it soon enough!

I have no idea what your talking about.  I'm mainly showing you the new Shockwave effect I added to xLights which will be in the next release.

Sarcasm doesn't always come with warnings. I think he was trying to compliment your skills in Nutcracker

Yeah but I already have a monopoly on sarcasm and knew that playing dumb is the best defense. ;)

Aww just got home to see my reply didn't immediately come through.  Yes my original comment was tounge-in-cheek. I know Gil is a great sequencer and he's not too shabby of a programmer too.
