Models disappear from preview

Hello,
Is there a reason why a model would suddenly disappear from the preview ie layout screen ?
Every now and then , I notice that a model or models are not showing on the layout screen and it is because the part of my display has become unticked.
So I tick it back and it's all good.

If there is no reason for this to occur , then I shall try and see when it occurs by going back to that screen more often during sequencing,

Do you use model groups?  When you select a model group it automatically updates the "Part of my display" field for all the model to check the ones in the groups your selecting and uncheck the ones you aren't.

Having been "bitten" by this a few times, I now immediately create a Model Group called "Everything" and keep every model in it, adding to it as I work.

Then I can safely create smaller groups of things like "trees" and "borders" and "arches"

It helps protect you from the unchecking of the "Part of My Display" box that is so important.
