Model Setup help
« on: June 19, 2015, 08:48:26 AM »
I would like to make some tiny trees with a 50 node string.  I would like to make it have 5 columns of 10.  Up, down,up,down,up.  I tried setting it up using one string, 10 nodes on 5 strands.  This does not work out?  I know there is a simple way, just don't know how

Hi Andy

Welcome to Nutcracker!

Configure the model with 1 String, 50 lights, 5 strands and NC will do the math for you and give you a nice tree.
String=Physical String
Strand=Number of virtual strings via folding the physical string.

NC will compute the number of lights per strand for you.  If you were to make it 50 nodes, 2 strands you'd end up with a 2 leg tree with 25 lights.

Do not ask to know all the answers, but ask to understand the question.

I did 10 mini-trees as you described. See this thread:  http://nutcracker123.com/forum/index.php?topic=1091.msg5834#msg5834

I have 50 pixels on the tree, then 10 pixels in a star. Each tree & star is attached to one output of a Falcon 16.
