Unable to save sequence
« on: June 18, 2015, 07:48:21 PM »
Hello,

I have been unable to save the sequence . Am able to render it , play it etc , but saving it causes XL to hang with no error message.

The application then has to be ended via the Windows task manager..

I have been using this seq for a while and tried using an earlier backup as well.

Saving means writing/updating the FSEQ file. Have you tried deleting that file, then save again?

I was able to load your configuration, open the sequence and save it with no issues.  Nice P10 panel matrix!

hi Steve,

In my case (Windows), it does not create the fseq file (at least I cant see one in the show directory - unless it creates it in a temp directory/area first or as a hidden file ?).

There is no 'Blue Christmas' fseq file that I can see in the directory as that is what I was going to do.

It was fine for several weeks , and am puzzled as to why this would have an issue now.
The last status bar message is
'Done Rendering Lantern 5'

Have you tried saving it again after that to see if it will still save ?

Thanks about the matrix . I don't have it working as yet as have been waiting for a $1 '40 PIN thingy' for weeks now for the Octoscroller which must have got lost somewhere in the post. Most annoying :)
Have everything else .

In the meantime , I thought that I would learn how to place effects , pictures gifs etc on it using xlights.
