Geez Sean. I guess your an earlybird. You got all the 8:30 AM timeslots...uggh! :D

Looking forward to seeing you folks, and hopefully get my list of questions answered and or clarified.

Bummed some of the classes run into 2 slots, only get to see first or second half. Oh well, guess you just have to do the best you can.

Thanks everyone, look forward to meeting you folks.

Oh yeah, Sean will Papagayo be addressed in any of the sessions?

Best,
David

Hi; At the Expo (Jul 16-28) gil jones, capt murdoch, dave pitts and myself will be in a room next to the regular conference rooms. This room wil be the xLights/Falcon/FPP room.

Here is what Capt Murdoch posted to his FPP users on falconchristmas.com

"We will be using the area that Mark mentioned for a few different things:

- Repeats of scheduled sessions - If you can't attend the scheduled sessions for xLights/Nutcracker or the Falcon Player, you will be able to come to the demo area at a different time for a repeat (or a preview possibly) of the scheduled classroom session.

- Mini sessions - In addition to the hour-long scheduled sessions, we will have some mini sessions to focus on specific topics such as installation, specific features, etc..

- Free Time - We want to provide a time for general Q&A, installation help, and other non-structured communication as well as demos, so we're planning on doing this between the sessions.

We're working on nailing down the schedule and mini-session topics now and will post something once we have the schedule worked out. The mini sessions should coincide with the beginning of other regular scheduled sessions to make it easier to fit things in.  Mini's will normally be 15 minutes with some being a little longer depending on the topic being covered."

So we will offer at least one more
Intro to xLights
Advanced xLights
FPP Intro
FPP Advanced
Probably a second Gill session on his advanced effects

Additional mini topics that we could offer
Movies using xLights
Papagayo using xLights
Using multiple projectors and doing whole house projection using xlights and FPP and PowerDirector 13
How to mark up sound files using Audacity.

we plan on having hands sessions.
You bring in a song, we will take you thorugh getting thats ong sequenced in xlights.
You bring in a raspberry pi, we will set you up. we will have extra raspberry pi's that we will loan out.

The idea is you start with any song, you get a completed sequence and yo uwill see it run on the lights in our room.
we think our room will have a 7' megatree, multiple p10 panels. 16x32 2812 matrix, otehr lights.
we think each light display will be on a FPP. a few times we will show how you can have unlimited FPP slaves all working from your master.
we will have two video projectors to use

I and Gil will be on one side talking xlights, Dave and Capt Murdoch will be on the other side giving hands with Falcon boards and Falcon Players.

At certain times the room will become a formal classroom.

we will advertise the schedule of our xLights/Falcon room by this weekend.

we expect to someone (multipel someone's) will be in this room all three days.

+1.  Add soldering and networking to the room and I will never have to leave :-). (Guessing all my networking questions will actually get answered in that room anyway since I'm all in for FPP, xLights)
