Playback
« on: August 17, 2015, 04:03:23 AM »
On a couple of the sequences I had converted at an earlier date for video I was able to get them to play in the scheduler. When I am in my play list and click " Play" the video plays on my monitor. However when I set the scheduler to play the video and start at a given time I do not see the video on  the monitor. I am not connected to the projector at this time just testing to see if I can get a schedule to play and it does. Is this normal?

Thurrle; most of us are not using xlights to run our shows. The last time i used it was in 2012. The Falcon Player using a raspberry pi is where most are now running the show. It frees up a computer, can run more channels (80K), has 1080p HDMI video.

The ability to launch a video was created by Matt Brown all the way back in 2011.. I used it in 2012, let me see if i can duplicate what you are seeing.

It is supposed to launch the windws video player when you run the sequence.

It launches the windows video player when I just play it on the computer thru NC. But when have the scheduler run it I don't see the video on the monitor. I will try it with the projector connected when I get a chance. I have not completely figured out the Raspberry PI but am working with it. It would be my preference if I get it figured out. Right now I am still struggling getting it to pick up my router from any distance away.
