Mega tree smooth fade

Hi guys, new to Xlights and just experimenting. I have a megatree made from RGB dumb strings. I want to use the color bar effect but rather than snap from one color to the next as it goes around is there a way to make a smooth cross fade instead?

Sure, just overlap the effects between two layers. Fade out the first color and fade in the other color for the duration of the overlap.

If you check the 3D option under the bars effect, the colors will fade to black before starting the next color.
