Is there a way to change/control the color of the timing marks?

Currently we have fixed colors for the timings.  It's like four colors then we start repeating.  There is already an enhancement request on GitHub to be able to change your colors.  Out of curiousity is it red that is bothering you?  I know for me red seems to look like it has double vision for some reason.

The dark blue...kind of disappears with the black background.
