Which effects work best on arches
« on: November 25, 2015, 07:33:19 PM »
I have 5 arches, 8 channels each, trying to find effects that will work with them, what are other people using. I am looking for a single segment to start at one end and go all the way along the line for instance. I can get all 5 arches to mirror each other but that's about it.

I personally like horizontal & vertical bars the best, but it is not the effect you are looking for--sweep across...   Curtain looks pretty good, too--you can play around with the timing and get it synched up pretty nicely with dynamic music phrases.   I am not sure how to do a chase across a group of arches now.   I think you can "group all arches" and do single strand for a chase.

single strand works fine, you can also use spiral vertical bars. twinkle.  Even on with sparkles looks good.

Good point again, Jim.   I do use the arches as discrete elements to which I apply "on" effects--for example arch1 red arch2 green arch3 white etc then alternate these back & forth.   Looks pretty good.
