Easiest way is probably to work in a new Show directory and organize the models how you want them. Create a Model Group that has all the models that used to be in your whole house model. Open the old sequence and it will say it doesn't find that old whole house model then say ok. Then it will allow you to select a new model for all those effects so pick the new model group.
