Cannot view shared sequences

I tried to view sequences shared by others by downloading rgb_effects, sequence and network .xml files.  I put them in a separate folder as described and tell xlights to look there.  It finds the network, model preview, but will not find a sequence.  Ideas?

Does not make sense. Example: wizards.mp3, wizards.xml, wizards.fseq, xlights_rgbeffects.xml. You do NOT need the xlights_networks.xml file since people need to define their own network info. U do NOT ever need the fseq. U open wizards.xml, u will get an error about finding wizards.mp3. Just point to your audio file. Now click save to create fseq. Please make a video. (Use your phone or screencastomati ) and pist if this doesnt work.

Just a thought.  When you tell xlights to look in the folder did you just file open to that folder?  If so that will not work.  You must switch your setup to that folder.  I do it all the time.  I name the folder for the person that shared the sequence and put a txt file in the folder where I save a link from where I got the sequence and the date I got it as well as any info about the sequence that the donor posted.
