No playback on windows 10

Hello all.
New guy to xlights, so go easy on me. Used vixen 2.1 in the past.. Going with an all pixel setup (not this year, just preparing way early). Anyway I set up xlights version 4.2.20 on my windows 10 machine and when I create a new sequence it will not play, when I press the play button it does nothing. I installed the latest release, same. I installed  the same version on a Windows 7, same exact model computer and it works.
The thing is I installed Vixen 3 on the windows 10 pc and it will play that audio back, as well as youtube vids, etc so audio works on win 10, just not in xlights. I can't keep it on the win 7 machine because it's not mine..
Any ideas? Do I need to install something else on the Win 10 pc to make the playback work in xlights? I would rather use Xlights over Vixen..

I converted to Windows 10 earlier this year and have not experienced any problems similar to this.

Got it fixed, works like a champ now! It had to do with my Version of Windows 10, which was Windows 10 Enterprise N (From my MSDN account). Installed the windows media feature pack for N and KN versions and it started working correctly.
