DSLR VIDEO SETTINGS Canon EOS7D
« on: December 05, 2015, 06:43:44 AM »
Seems like last year I dropped the f stop, slowed down the fps, used a tripod and manual focus. Has anyone done some experimenting with this. Just does not look as good as I hoped for.

Just doing that on a program mode won't keep the lights from blowing out.  I've not tried on my Nikon yet, but was intending to go fully manual. I suspect if you use a histogram view for still photos to make the adjustments where you don't have too much blowing out, that those settings should look good for the video as well.

Will do, might be a while as I am still putting out elements.  Got 14' of pixicles physically on the garage gutter last night, might get another few feet tonight on what's left of the house gutters.  They are not pretty after the tree was done with them!

Full manual
2.8 f-stop
100 ISO
1/30 shutter
24FPS-1920
Stabilizer off
srgb Histogram

The Black is very Black and no bounce coming out of the rgb's
I should have my 2015 play list posted by the end of the week

Be careful on the ladder thing
