Boscoyo 24" ChromaFLakes w/ Prongs
« on: August 02, 2016, 12:21:58 PM »
I just received a 24" Chromaflake w/ Prongs and was was wondering how you would Custom model it.   I realize that it is personal preference, but does it make a difference, even if you are going to make 2 or 3 models out of it to get the effects you want?  I sorta copied flyinverted's model to fit my snowflake.   Which is the preferred method?  You could do the center around (1,2,3,etc.) and then the sides, or how I have done here.

Edit: I realize now, either way, the strands will have to be cut and soldered..

No cutting is needed if your pixels have enough wire to skip holes. That let's you go out an arm, then back. I've done 27 of them with no cutting.

The models don't need to use consecutive numbering.

Sweet!  Made the model, then proceeded to plug them in backwards.  Used the video to make a custom model and it worked great.  Had to tweak it a bit, but I was able to get the effects.  Thanks!
