Using a Projector

I would like to see if it would be able to add the use of a singing projection (like singing pumpkins, etc) to Nutcracker. I would like to be able to sync all my effects with the same program.
I could use the same file to program my lights, run effects and to project an image using a projector.
I think you could use the extend windows function for the use of a projector, the sound for your speakers and the xLights programming for your lighting.

If I understand your question (and I do not use a projector) there are people all over this forum using projectors, even multiple projectors.  You need to start reading a lot more of the older threads and using the search function.  Also join and read the falconchristmas.com forum.

use a program to extract the sound from your movie as a mp3.
sequence using that mp3. when you save you get a fseq rendered file.

if running your show from FPP you send the fseq and the mp4 (not the mp3) to the FPP. It plays a movie, sound from movie comes out audio port, fseq drives lights.
FPP constantly checks and keeps lights synced to movie.

if playing show from xlights, it is not as exact.
u sequence and produce mp3, mp4 and fseq
now schedule the mp4 and fseq file. Just note that xlights launches a video player and starts the mp4 when your sequence starts. it does not adjust playback so there might be a slight offset by end of playing

I havent used xlights to play my show since 2012. i used  FPP in 2013,2014 and again this year. It just is a more powerful show scheduler.

Thats what i was looking to do Sean...I have been running xlights from LOR because I wanted to use my Projector to a screen to show video. So by going to FPP I can do the same ?
