Models appear correct in layout but not on house preview

I have 5 tips on the right star just like the left star. I think I have checked everything such as Checking part of my display and making sure the start channels are ok.

As you can see its ok in layout tab but not in whole house preview. I cant figure out what I am doing wrong.

Sure, I am new to xlights. What files do you want.

on the Layout screen, for View, if you change it from "My Display" to "All Models"

do they reappear?  If so, then there is just a selection problem.

Also, in All Model view, scroll down the list of Element Names and see if a box is unchecked.

Jon, Thanks for the reply,that did not change anything. I also found I am having the same problem with my
Matrix and Tune to Sign. All the other models are working fine.

When you click on the star tip right lines in the model list they should light up yellow in the layout window.  So what lights up yellow?

The star tips light yellow when I click on the element name in layout.

Sure, I am new to xlights. What files do you want.

Xlights_rgbeffects.xml, xlights_networks.xml, these will be in your show directory. The network file isn't necessary, just makes it easier.

I was playing with it this morning and got it fixed.

I had to delete the models and then re add them.Worked perfect after that.

Ok you got it working but that's not the right way to fix your problem.  I looked and the issue is you had all your model groups selected but the tips on the right star and the matrix on the window were not part of any of those groups.  When you click the checkboxes for group(s) then you are telling the program to filter your display to only show those groups.   If you changed the View dropdown to say "Selected Groups" you would have seen exactly what was going to show in your House Preview window.  If you unchecked all your groups then we will show all models that are part of your display which you can see by changing the dropdown to "My Display".

Yes you had all the boxes checked and that's the problem.  You only need to check the boxes if you want to limit what is shown on the screen.  By checking the boxes it meant that only models in those groups were going to be shown but you had at least 2 models that were not members of any of those groups and that's why they didn't show up in the house preview.
