This problems pertains to LOR controllers (CTB16PC) and .fseq files. I have noticed that when using Xlights or the FPP to play a LOR sequence on a LOR controller that the first note/second of a song is sometimes skipped. If the first note gets skipped it immediately starts correctly with the second note/second. I tested this having Xlights output the signal from my laptop and from both a master and slave Pi and all had this skipping issue. I have tried a standard, high speed and booster RS485 adaptor and they all do it. I can’t seem to predict when it will skip or when it will play normal. I am planning to only use 4 controllers (64 channels, with only 48 being used). My controllers were going to be daisy chained in this order: 01, 03, 04, 02 with about 100 feet between them. When I did my test I only connected 01 and 02 together using 50 feet from Pi to 01 and 25 feet between 01 and 02. I set FPP up so that all 64 LOR channels were being transmitted at the highest baud rate, which also matches the Xlights baud rate. I tried just doing 1 controller and only transmitting 16 channels from FPP and got the same result. I only had a couple strings plugged in so I could pick out those big noticeable beats. Would this cause the problem? I tried it on 2 different Pi's and 1 laptop with the same result. That is why I changed the RS485 adaptor, but that didn’t help.
Is this a known issue to anyone? Does it have a fix?
