Bullet vs Square for 28 strand 100 node mega tree?

I plan to use Boscoyo Strips for my mega tree and now need to decide on bullet style or square style nodes. If both works what would be your choice for a 270 degree mega tree?

Though I know there will be different opinions, I'll take a stab at it.

Of the 7 mega-trees we have, 5 use the square pixels.  For no other reason than the squares hug the boscoyo strips (and others) better.  The wiring on ours comes out what would be the side of each pixel.  Though it really didn't matter in the past years, this year we are going high-density (for us) on the trees and the square lets us almost overlay the strips.

One of the other trees is a pex tree (filled with a strip) and the other has bullet style 12mm.  They all work great.

Thanks for the feedback. I was leaning towards square pixels. I plan to use 2" spacing.

Both will work. Typically bullet nodes are cheaper. Bullet nodes will work better on trees more than 180 degrees as they diffuse light more than square.

I use bullets on 3 trees and they work great.  I have found that 3" spacing works just fine.  It also requires less nodes, less power, less money, and is less bright.  Even at 3" spacing when I have a lot of lights on it lights up the neighbors house and yard across the street very bright.  2" spacing will give more detail to graphics, but for most things 3" works great, especially if you have a tall tree, mine is two boscoyo strips tall.  but my 8ft trees look fine as well.

I tried both and find that the bullet nodes slip into the strips more easily.  If you look at the attached picture, notice where the 8mm bulb intersects the molding.  On the square node there is a slight flat "ledge."  On the bullet pixel the molding tapers almost even with the 8mm bulb.  The flat ledge on the square nodes makes it harder to push through strips and grid material, especially if the holes are snug to begin with.

If you get the right size wire between the nodes the rectangular nodes will roll up better.  I find the bullet nodes a pain in the butt to roll up the strips.  Takes up too much space.
