strange happening with .43
« on: August 05, 2016, 08:29:38 PM »
I've downloaded .43, installed it, and then loaded a sequence that I was working on and ran it...no problems.

I then added a new model, a holidaycoro face with 8 channels.  I was going to use my number 9 lor controller so starting channel was set to 145.  When I add the model to the sequence I get some effects automatically placed on channel 149.  If I change the starteing channel number of the model to say lor unit 10 or starting channel number 161, the effect disappears.  This effect looks to be a "data layer" as I can't delete or modify it.

anybody got an explanation for this one??

thanks

Barry

So do you HAVE a data layer?  Did you Render all?

no I don't believe I have a data layer.  I started by importing all the effects from a previous LOR sequence using the import effects.  Then once those were good.  I started adding new models (new this year vs what I had last year).  This holidaycoro face was not part of the imported effects.   When you look at this strange effect that is added to the face it duplicates one of the imported effects.  what files would I have to put together to send to show you what I'm talking about.  The sequence file (fseq/xml) and the xlights_ files??

All I did was click on the layout tab.  Change the starting channel to 145.  click on the sequence tab and screen_shot2 shows the results.  also did a render all, the effects are still there.  also attached the log files after the change.  I know it's probably a simple channel problem...but I can't figure it out.

If you turn on the "Overlap checks enabled" and click on the round_hd_guy you can see exactly which models it overlaps with.  (Skull1/Skull2) .   My gut feeling is the String type is wrong for round_hd_guy.  You have it set to RGB nodes (3 channels per node) instead of one of the Single Channel types.
