The sequencing that I've been doing so far have been mostly on groups of my models. Now that I'm dabbling with controlling individual models to hit individual notes in songs, I'm running into some strange issues.
Specifically, I have a row of various bushes in my yard that most are assigned a 100-pixel string, except for one larger one which has three 100-pixel strings. I have them in two groups, one called "Bushes All" and "Bushes Less One" which doesn't include the 300-pixel bush.
If I expand "Bushes All" for example, and I place an effect such as "On" onto my grid for "Bushes 01", and copy and paste it to "Bushes 02" it's fine, but if I paste it to "Bushes 03", it pastes onto "Bushes 03" and "Bushes 01" as well. The same pattern happens for "Bushes 04", "Bushes 05" etc.
If I run the sequence, you can see that the bushes turn on as shown on the grid. What gets even weirder is that if I highlight the offending unwanted effects and delete them, and I play the sequence, all the unwanted effects still play even though they aren't visible on the grid anymore. The only way to somewhat reliably clear the effects is to highlight a rectangular area, place an "On" effect over the area with the "phantom" effects to run them over with a steamroller, so to speak, and then delete the effect that I used to do the "steamrolling".
I do notice, however, if I copy and paste the effects onto my Bushes that aren't part of a group, it seems to act OK.
If you experiment with the attached files, you will probably notice other weird things such as pasting onto models which are more than a row or two away in my display element listing that happen as well, but this symptom is easy to explain and reproduce. The same thing happens on my PC at work as well. Is there something wrong with my Layout?
I'm using version 2016.46.
