Import LMS
« on: September 08, 2016, 08:58:21 PM »
I have been able to successfully import another user's LMS file (http://gdriv.es/canadianchristmas) into xlights. The way i did this was using the Import menu and mapped each node from the sequence into a "dummy" window model I created. What I want to do now if at all possible is take that effect that runs on the 50 node window and map it onto a 120 node window and keep the same effects. Is this possible at all?? I think I may be better off at just recreating the effects using native effects in xlights like marquee and color washes. Is there any good approaches to do what I want to accomplish? I was thinking of taking the 50 nodes and just repeating it 2 and a bit times but the other issue I ran into with importing a 250MB lms file is that I get some laggy performance in xlights on my MacBook pro from 2011. I can't even try to promote an effect because of how i'm importing things, and that was about all I could find so far in my search.  Any thoughts on this one?

let me know..I can post up xml files or others but they are all over at Brandon's site that I referenced.
thanks.
Ryan

After watching Sean's tutorial (Release 2016.45 performance fix for color gradients-SD) I was able to figure out what I need to do. The way LOR deals with RGB is the issue I was having. I'll be trying to recreate the effects using native xlights effects.
