Shadow models (I think)
« on: October 24, 2016, 03:54:54 PM »
I have a custom prop that is a ferris wheel, essentially a spinner inside of a circle.

While I can get most desired effects, there are effects I can't quit figure out but probably could if I could create multiple models using different techniques such as concentric rings.  Since "Part of display" is no longer an option, I am sure I have read about creating shadow models.  I've searched around and can't info.  Perhaps I'm using the wrong phrase.  So I'm looking for how to or pointed in direction to search.

Thanks.

Sub models. Look under the model properties and you should see it. The manual should cover this as well.

Setting the Preview property to Unassigned is the same as unchecking the old Part of my Display.

Thanks Gil, that actually gets me closer to what I want to since since my model is actually a group of models which does not lend itself sub-modeling.
