Newbie looking for some examples
« on: November 13, 2016, 11:21:37 AM »
Hello all.  Having fun learning Xlights.  Was hoping could download some examples of sequences to get a better idea of what all Xlights has to offer.  Looked around for a library on this forum and could not locate.  If anyone would be willing to share their sequences would greatly appreciate.

Also is their a place where the audio files are already broken out with timing marks.  Have been trying to make my own, but hard to get them exactly where they need to be (slow fingers).

Thanks in advance for any help.  Can't wait to get my displays up this year.

I tap out my timing marks at 1/4 to 1/2 speed on the audio. Then I go through and adjust the timing marks after zooming in so you can see the waveform better. Personally I think this is the easiest thing to do of everything that needs to be done making a sequence. Having good timing marks makes the rest of the process easier. Keep in mind timing marks or something that's still subject to personal preference

Why tap out the timing marks, use the audacity beats or bars. This will work very well for most of the Christmas songs.

I watched a tutorial on using a Queen Mary app that auto put in the timing marks. Just starting out, looking for tricks of the trade.

The tricks are already embedded in the software. When you add a timing track there are several options to choose from. I use beats the most.
