I like the garland effect on drip tubes -- except the current Garland direction is wrong in that application -- it grows from the bottom.
Since garland builds from the bottom, it does not match the idea of an icicle grows from top, extending downward.
Also, the idea of a freezing/melting icicle is attractive. so a grow-then-shrink option would be nice.
Suggestion: add a Garland selection that has the following options:
** Grow Up
** Grow Down
** Grow Up, then shrink
** Grow Down, then shrink
...and what about a random speed?
yeah, it sounds like meteor -- but meteor moves or travels in a direction. it does not grow and leave pixels in its wake like garland.
