Qiuck question about matrix
« on: December 26, 2016, 07:02:15 AM »
I have 2 matrixes that have 18 strands high x 25 strands long and they are scrambled. I have 2 others That are 24 strands high and x 25 strands long they work fine. So my question is: the 2 with issues, are 4 strands of 100 and 1 strand of 50. I defined them as 9 Strands of 50 and 2 strings per strand. I had the same issue last year. Checked all the usual things Power, ect. So I am leaning towards layout. It all works in test mode on f16v1. The other matrixes 6 strands of 100  with 4 strings per strand and work fine

Thankyou Joe

I can't quite decipher how you have the trees wired up to give advice.  When you say you have a matrix that is x strands high and y strands long you realize that doesn't tell me whether the strands are horizontal or vertical.  It would be easier to just say you have a 18x25 matrix and specify whether it's horizontal or vertical.  You need to also say how it's wired.  Do the node loopback in a zig zag or does each strand begin on the same side.

Lets see if this helps better. 18x25 horizontal.  4 strands of 100 and 1 strand of 50. I defined them as 9 Strands of 50 and 2 strings per strand 5 physical imputs to controller

Thankyou
Joe

So right click on the model and choose "Node Layout".  If the node numbering matches how you wired it up then the model layout is fine.

For future reference strands are part of a string.  i.e the zig and zag.  But we understood what you said.
