position of a group
« on: February 05, 2017, 02:19:34 PM »
I'm having an issue with my tree group setup. In my layout I have the tree (600 pixels) and the star (50 pixels) and 2 mini trees. The mini-trees are just a short string of dumb nodes. 3 channels each. All three are in my main tree group. I have noticed at times some effects do not work in the main tree group. Is the position of the main tree group critical? I have one sequence that is  first in the line of the three models and another in is after the three models. Some times the effect chosen does not seem to work in the main tree group. Thanks.

Maybe you have a video of the problem.

For a model group it depends on the "Default Layout Mode" you have set for that group on the Layout tab and the "Render Style" you have set for each effect in the Layer Settings panel.  Yes the position on the screen can have an effect.  The way a group buffer is created is by sampling where the pixels reside on the screen.
