Would it be possible to add a "Maintain Aspect Ratio" checkbox to the Picture Effect?
Most of the clip-art and gif images that I find are relatively square (similar height and width). But the models I put them on (pixel trees, window grids, and P10 panels) are more rectangular. When I use the "Scale To Fit" option of the Picture Effect, the picture gets stretched un-proportionally in the vertical and horizontal dimensions.
I also struggle with the Start Scale and End Scale tabs. Maybe there is a trick I am missing? If I knew the exact scaling in advance, then its not too hard. But typically I don't know what scaling is needed so I rely on the preview window and the scaling slider to see what looks best. The problem with this is the preview is constantly re-sizing the image between start and end values. I can't change them both at the same time so its like trying to hit a moving target to figure out what the right scaling should be.
Am I missing something obvious? Or is this something that can be added to a future version?
