Models Not Playing Correctly
« on: March 14, 2017, 08:05:51 PM »
I just had the same problem as Bowhunter.  I was working on my sequence and when I went to play it back, my model previews were no longer working properly.  They had been just a few seconds before.  The model window isn't playing any effects and my whole house window is only playing a couple of the effects and it only plays them on a couple of the models.  I don't know what I did, but something went wrong.

I did run the sequence check and it showed no problems.  I forgot to put that in my post

That's not enough to know what you're doing wrong.

We need some way to see what you're talking about.  For one models blend into each other now in certain situations so that can cause things to look different than expected.  Also as you click around on effects it renders the effects in the order you click on them which may be different than the render order of a full save/render so that can cause things to look different.  I'm skeptical about there being any real problem with effects not showing up on a model if you've done a render all.  I haven't used the latest releases much so maybe an issue crept in but I don't know about one.

take a movie with your phone of the show running or use a screen capture program. annotate it as it plays.

Here is the video and rgbeffects file.  The video I took with my phone, so it's not the greatest.  The left side is the model preview and the right side is the whole house preview. The arches in the forefront of the house should have been showing alternating bars from about 14 seconds of the video till the end.  Also the lights on the windows are supposed to be all white, except when they individually change colors with the beat.  The model side isn't playing at all.  It looks like the arches and the trees (I don't have any effects on the trees, but when I put and effect on them they don't play)  aren't playing and the windows aren't playing correctly.  They worked fine before.  I included a screen shot of my model layout and two shots of my sequence.  I'm doing this on my lap top, so I had to take a screen shot of the top half of the sequence and then a shot of the bottom half.

It would be better if you just loaded up your test sequence and use the package sequence option on the tools menu. That gives use everything we need to reproduce the problem.

Here's the package log files.  Let me know if I didn't get what you needed.  Thanks for the help!

You have several effects where the brightness is set to 0.   Reset those to 100.

That did the trick.  I don't know how that happened.  I must have clicked on something by accident.  Thanks!!!
