Face Problem
« on: May 15, 2017, 06:44:06 AM »
I have a problem. I have set up a spare controller to have channels at 23941 thru 24852 to coincide with a face I have defined. The problem is the O is not working correctly, channels for the mouth 175 – 216 defined do not work correctly. If I put the test on a different channel starting with  5881 all light up in test mode but not starting with 23941 in test mode. I do not want to replace the lights but will if necessary. BTW the universes are set to multichannel.

You didn't provide the xlights_networks.xml file so are you sure you have enough channels created?

Does it work in xLights preview window?  When you say something is "not working correctly" that could mean any number of things.

It works fine in the preview window and if I put it on a lower start number in test mode I can light up all the pixels but not when I connect it to the correct start channel. In fact the O does not light up past 179.

Try turning the lights on without using test mode.  Create a sequence and drop a Faces effect and make that section light up.  If that fails then it points to the controller side.

With the controller set for the arches which start at 5881 and not 23941 the scene works correctly in the mouth area, so can't the controller handle the higher number? BTW the spare controller is a blue f16v2.

Yes the controller can handle that number fine if you have things setup correctly.

I don't see anything wrong.  You may need to show screenshots of the controller setup.

Here are screen shots of the controller. String port #9 works and string port #10 does not work properly the O does not work #10

Can you please review your xLights and Falcon setup and make the start channels match?  Everything is good till universe 48 then it goes to crap.  In xLights you have univ 49 starting at 24481 but in the Falcon you have it starting at 24577.  Then in xLights you have universe 50 listed twice in a row.  You gotta make all that stuff match and it should be easy because you can create all the universes in one action when they are the same size.

Gil by erasing both the controller and xlights and redoing them then it worked fine using the higher number. I don't know how they got off but thank you for spotting this.
