Importing sequence issues
« on: June 01, 2017, 01:35:11 AM »
I was watching keiths video:http://videos.xlights.org/importing-a-xlights-sequence_5989f0fdb.html
and could not get an imported sequence to display after rendering.
Now I cannot open my original layout. It just displays the preview for the user sequence I was looking at.
I do not want to re-do it. How do I recover?
I put all the downloaded sequences in a folder under my directory as described, so I would not break the links.
What did I do wrong?

To get back to your original layout go vack to the setup tab and change your show folder back to what it was.

It sounds like you either need to watch the video again or find a more experienced user un your time zone or location who can walk you through it. Where are you located?

I recently had a similar issue with an imported sequence myself. After rendering I would hit play and would get nothing. But if I clicked on the first effect on the timeline I would see the preview of the effect and then if I hit play,  it would play no problem. That was with 2017.12, after upgrading to 2017.14 I didn't see that problem. So not sure if it was a bug that got fixed, or just a fluke issue with the PC.

I am located in Anchorage, Alaska. I know of only one person in AK  that is doing pixels, from a Dave Pitts post. I dont know his user name or if he is on here.  Besides he is on an island far from me. I am a 38 yr telecom tech. So I think I can figure this out. Just get stuck sometimes. Watching tons of videos, reading, following threads. I appreciate the help you guys are providing.

BTW Your post fixed it. Show directory was wrong. Did not have my "all models" view, but turned it back on and all is good.
